What exactly does a building have to do with the future? Education is an institution in itself...it's not a specific place. IMO, the camps on consolidation can be divided according to how they think the schools impact the economics of the county. Some think new schools will boost the economy while some see the loss of their community school as a death blow to their local town's economy. Which is best for the future really varies from individual to individual. The loss of jobs sure isn't gonna help anything...and the hidden costs of new unis for every sport, further travel distances on a daily basis, etc. won't either. In fact, it probably offsets any savings in personnel... And, I really don't see a HS attracting a company to invest in the county...but some folks do. It's just up to the individual, and that's why this fight has carried on for a decade..cuz there is no clear cut "best way".Originally Posted by Counts
